Main Activities

Main Activities

Holdcorp main activities are Upstream (exploration, development and production of hydrocarbons), and in a lesser extent in Midstream (transport) and Downstream (refining).

Holdcorp Investment has focused its activities in Africa, particularly in East Africa, and the Company has three main priority values:
  • A high technical quality in its professional team.
  • A narrow and privileged relation with the Administrations of the countries in which it operates
  • A great flexibility and a fast decision-making capacity, consequence of its size and of the concentration of the Governance.

Curent Projects

BLOCK E2

Located in the Republic of South Sudan. It is pending on signature.

It has a surface of approximately 22.000 km2, and is located parallel to the South of The Muglad Baasin, in an area without sufficient technical data (only gravity study, no seismic or exploration wells), but with a great exploratory potential, indicating the presence of sedimentary basins similar to those present in the productive area of the Muglad Basin, where until now recoverable reserves of more than 2.000 million barrels have been confirmed with restricted exploration and a high success percentage of around 50%.

The recoverable reserves expected in Block E2 go beyond 240 million barrels, according to the estimation of a British independent consultant company.

BLOCK B3

Located in the Republic of South Sudan. It is in advanced negotiations.

It has a surface of aprox. 40,000 km2. It is also located in the Southern part of the Muglad Basin next to Block E2. According to the seismic and the gravity already acquired on Block B3 there are three sedimentary sub-basins with a very high exploration potential.

The estimated recovery reserves could be in the range of 500 million barrels.
Other ongoing projects on evaluation

Holdcorp is always looking for new opportunities to increase its portfolio. In its nature, as company member of a diversified group, is present the necessity to grow and expand its roots to other geographic countries.
  • Exploration licenses on Block A1 of South Sudan.
  • Exploration licenses on the Albert Basin on RDC.
  • African Pipeline between various east countries.
